Les canelés de saison | “Noix de Coco” et “Le fruit de la passion”

We feel the summer is approaching as the colorful decorations for the Star Festival are swinging in the wind. There are special names for the wind around the rainy seasons in Japan, “Kurohae”, the Black Southern Wind; “Arahae”, the Strong Southern Wind; and “Shirahae”, the White Southern Wind. It almost feels like the wing is lightened up and lighter after it felt so heavy for some time. It must be refreshing to spend our day feeling the lightness of the wind. Our pair of seasonal canelés for this month, “Coconuts” and “Passion Fruits” are available from today, July 1st. Coconuts canelés are inspired by summer beaches with plentiful roasted coconuts mixed in the dough and sprinkled on top. Passion fruits canelés have the paste of the sweet white bean and passion fruits inside of the apricot dough, dolled up with homemade jam made from the passion fruits from Amami-Oshima on top. The refreshing sweetness and the sourness of passion fruit will bring you tropical island vibes.
