Les canelés de saison | “Baie-Baie” et “Noix salées”

Trees and flowers are started to sprout and it feels like spring is approaching just around the corner. March 3rd is set as the day of sugar from the Japanese pronunciation of the numbers: 3 and 10. Sugar is one of the essential seasonings for baking canelés and has a history of over 2500 years. It was introduced to Japan in the 8th century as a valuable medicine since there were only imported ones and very hard to get. Sweets bring you joy and energy when you are tired. May our canelés be one of your sources of happiness this spring. Our pair of seasonal canelés for this month “Berry-Berry” and “Salty Nuts” are available from today, Tuesday, March 1st. Berry-Berry canelés are very fresh and full of berries. Dried cranberries are mixed in the strawberry dough that is decorated with framboise jam and cranberries. Salty Nuts canelés are with hazelnuts dough with macadamia nuts, walnuts and almonds mixed inside. They are decorated with hazelnut fondant with almonds on top. Enjoy the roasted aroma and the texture of the 4 kinds of nuts.
